A little about Vico
My name is Victor Hugo Hernandez or as my family and friends like to call me, Vico. Ever since I was a child I've felt a strong attraction to the arts... I earned my High School diploma from Huntington Beach High in Huntington Beach, Ca and my A.A. in Arts from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Ca. I then moved to Northern California to study art and I earned my B.A. from Humboldt State University. In my final semester I received the award for the "Outstanding Student in Fine Arts 06-07" and I also got commissioned by the city of Arcata to design and build a permanent public sculpture that was installed in the Downtown in 2007. In addition to my fine art I provide highly creative graphic design services for all types of clients, from Los Angeles California to Humboldt County and beyond! Vico's mission is to provide an intuitive experience for individuals, and business organizations alike. Vico offers services such as Graphic Design, Web Design, E-commerce Solutions, Product Design, Illustration, Flash Video Animation, Photography, Event Documentation, Social Media Marketing Campaigns.
For businesses looking to exhibit Contemporary Art in their building spaces Vico offers curator and art event coordination services. Vico is the founder, curator and organizer of the highly acclaimed Humboldt Arts Project & the two day Humboldt Arts Festival. The Humboldt Arts Festival held on graduation weekend May 15th & 16th 2010 was attended by over 3 thousand people and it hosted over 25 local arts and crafts vendors, more than 200 artists, Six Galleries, and over 500 pieces of art. Vico currently curates monthly shows at the Robert Goodman Wines Wine Tasting Room in Arcata Ca. Vico began curating monthly shows at Muddy's Hot Cup in Arcata (2007-2009) and organized and hosted the Annual Sculpture Fest exhibition that took place those Summers. Vico works together business owners to create an environment that is exciting, intriguing, and welcoming to their business clients. Vico takes care of the promotional design, event coordination and documentation (i.e. photography and video) which can be used for promotional and documentation purposes.
