Visual Interactive Animation

This interactive animation was created for the 2009 New Years celebration I attended. The goal was to create an interactive video animation to project on a big wall at the event. My idea behind this project was to create an interactive video that could allow the guests to act like a Visual D.J. during songs being played thru ought the night.

This video has over 40 animations that can be linked and played at the press of a key stroke. What I wanted was for people to pick up a wireless keyboard during one of their favorite songs and create their unique visual representation through the use of these animations.

To give it a try put on a song that you like and try to create your own video of it by following the beat! or you can also play one of the videos lower on this page and then play with this interactive animation as you play to the beat of the music.

It is quite fun and can be addictive.

Instructions:

Please click on animation to engage control of it. After you have clicked the keyboard becomes activated and you can begin to press the keyboard keys to command the action on the screen. You can use all the letter characters and number characters to trigger different animations that loop to create an active animation that can be unique experience for every person. The space bar also freezes the animation or if pressed during another animation interval it will loop that animation until any key is pressed. Caution: The caps lock button will make the keys unresponsive.
